Creative Innovation Intern (Summer 2026)
It’s no secret that we want to entertain the world. In order to do that we first must hire and develop the best people, starting with university students.
If you have a passion for solving challenging problems and are excited at the prospect of having a significant impact on productions that over 260 million viewers tune into, then we want to talk to you.
The Content Operations & Innovation organization at Netflix supports content to thrill members with efficient operational workflows and execution while leveraging our scale and innovating to deliver more value on screen. Within this organization, we are looking to host an intern on the Creative Innovation team during Summer 2026. The Creative Innovation team identifies and incubates emerging technologies, like Generative Media tools (AI/ML-driven), to enhance creativity and elevate member engagement. Through partnerships and strategic business development, we enable global content teams to experiment and innovate at scale.
The Creative Innovation Intern will support exploratory partnership initiatives with a focus on evaluating and shaping how emerging technologies, specifically Generative Media tools, can meaningfully support Netflix’s storytelling and production workflows. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical curiosity and an interest in B2B partnerships in the media/entertainment and technology space. As an intern, you’ll help research and assess new tools and companies, pull together feedback and insights, and support light program and project management, while gaining exposure to the filmmaking‑adjacent tools and workflows our productions rely on.
You do not need prior experience in these technologies to apply, simply an entrepreneurial spirit and a curiosity for the space; once you submit your application, you’ll receive an email inviting you to complete your application by filling out an Airtable form. You’ll also be asked to submit a two-paragraph 300-word-maximum statement of intent (preferably in PDF format) within the form using the following prompt:
First paragraph: Prompt Question
Tell us about a Generative Media tool that you’re really excited about. What draws you to it, and how do you imagine it being used in content over the next few years?
Second Paragraph: Prompt Question
Imagine you are helping Netflix evaluate a new Generative Media tool. What are the top 3 things you would want to learn about the tool and the company behind it, and why would those be critical in deciding whether to pilot it at Netflix or not? Focus on the considerations that would matter most to Netflix as a studio and how they would shape a decision to move forward or not.
This posting will be open for a very limited time and will be closed for new applications by February 6th so if you’re interested, please submit your application as soon as possible.
Who are you?
A currently enrolled student pursuing their Undergrad or Masters degree with authorization to work in the USA and an expected graduation date of December ‘26 or Spring ‘26 (if undergrad)
Passionate about the frontier of Generative Media with an interest in their applications in long‑form content and production.
Naturally hands-on and curious about new technology: you enjoy testing products, exploring features, and mapping how tools could be applied in real production or creative development scenarios.
Thrives in exploratory environments with evolving ways of working, and is excited to help prototype and pressure‑test new ideas, workflows, and potential partnerships.
Self- driven and motivated with strong organizational skills and clear communication
Trusted with confidential information, able to exercise discretion around unreleased features, content, early explorations, and strategic partnership discussions.
Excited by the idea of building a career in B2B partnerships, particularly at the intersection of technology, media, and entertainment.
Must reside in the Los Angeles area for the duration of the internship (relocation and housing support will be provided)
What you might do?
Create a structured workflow to collect and summarize feedback from internal users of new creative and production tools.
Research emerging media and production technologies and package findings in a way that is easy to understand and actionable for content and production teams.
Assist in evaluating new tools and potential partners by joining overviews or demos and helping create clear, concise summaries.
Help create scalable processes, templates, and reports that improve how the team manages exploratory tools, pilots, and partnerships.
Contribute to internal communications and documentation that keep cross‑functional teams informed about ongoing initiatives and key learnings in our domain.
Learn Netflix tools and how to operate within the Netflix culture
Build relationships with cross functional teams across the company
The Summer Internship
At Netflix, we offer a personalized experience for interns, and our aim is to offer an experience that mimics what it is like to actually work here. We match qualified interns with projects and groups based on interests and skill sets, and fully embed interns within those groups for the summer. Netflix is a unique place to work and we live by our values, so it's worth learning more about our culture.
Internships are paid and are a minimum of 12 weeks, with a choice of a couple fixed start dates in June to accommodate varying school calendars. Conditions permitting, our summer internships in 2026 for Content will be located in our Los Angeles, CA, office.
At Netflix, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine the Intern top of market. We rely on market indicators to determine compensation and consider your specific internship team, degree, and years of education to get it right. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.
