Employee Relations Manager - Stores, Global Corporate Employee Relations (GCER)

About the position

The Employee Relations Manager for the Global Corporate Employee Relations (GCER) team at Amazon is responsible for managing a wide range of employee relations issues within the Amazon Stores organization. This role requires significant experience in employee relations, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills to effectively address and resolve employee concerns while also implementing proactive initiatives to enhance the employee experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a broad spectrum of employee relations issues independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders.
  • Lead the design, development, and execution of proactive initiatives to improve employee experience.
  • Analyze and revise people programs, policies, and practices to sustain positive employee relations.
  • Design mechanisms to collect and analyze employee feedback and insights.
  • Draft and deliver regular reporting and recommendations to senior partners and business leaders based on data analysis.
  • Work directly with employees to identify and resolve concerns through conflict resolution and coaching.
  • Design and conduct employee relations training and capability-building initiatives.

Requirements

  • At least seven (7) years of direct experience in employee relations, human resources, or employment/labor law with a focus on employee relations.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with employment and labor laws in the United States.
  • Ability to assess complex data sets and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced degree, law degree, or specialized training in labor/employee relations.
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills to influence senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience in Labor Relations.
  • Outstanding written communication skills for executive-level messaging and reports.
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills in ambiguous environments.
  • Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
