Operations Manager ( Logistics & Electronics Refurbishment)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee daily operations within our reverse logistics and refurbished electronics warehouse. This role is responsible for managing warehouse operations, product testing and grading, inventory control, refurbishment workflows, and resale fulfillment for Pre-owned Tech electronic devices including smartphones, tablets, handheld gaming systems, and related consumer electronics.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience in warehouse operations, consumer electronics, or refurbishment environments and can drive efficiency, quality, accountability, and profitability across all operational areas.

Duties

Warehouse & Reverse Logistics Operations

  • Oversee all day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, sorting, processing, storage, shipping, and returns.
  • Manage reverse logistics workflows for returned, trade-in, recycled, and refurbished electronic devices.
  • Develop and maintain operational procedures to maximize productivity and minimize processing times.
  • Ensure proper inventory handling, security, and chain-of-custody procedures for electronic devices.
  • Monitor operational KPIs including turnaround time, order accuracy, shrinkage, productivity, and inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound freight scheduling with carriers and logistics partners.

Electronics Testing & Refurbishment

  • Supervise teams responsible for device testing, diagnostics, grading, data wiping, cosmetic inspection, and refurbishment.
  • Ensure all devices meet company quality standards before resale.
  • Implement and maintain standardized testing and grading processes.
  • Monitor repair/refurbishment workflows to improve throughput and recovery value.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and electronic recycling standards.

Sales Fulfillment & Inventory Management

  • Oversee inventory accuracy across warehouse systems and online sales platforms.
  • Coordinate fulfillment operations for e-commerce, wholesale, and marketplace sales channels.
  • Ensure accurate product listings, grading consistency, and timely order fulfillment.
  • Analyze inventory movement and identify opportunities to improve sell-through rates and margin recovery.

Team Leadership

  • Hire, train, coach, and develop warehouse and operations staff.
  • Create a culture focused on accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and manage employee scheduling and labor planning.
  • Lead daily operational meetings and communicate priorities effectively across departments.
  • Strong ability to be a leader of leaders and manage a team of 50+ associates.

Compliance & Safety

  • Maintain OSHA compliance and enforce warehouse safety procedures.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of electronic waste and damaged lithium-ion batteries.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Extensive experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP platforms such as SQL or AS400 for data collection and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including procurement, demand planning, inventory control, and logistics optimization.
  • Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), freight coordination, shipping & receiving procedures, and transportation planning.
  • Demonstrated ability in negotiation tactics for vendor management and category management strategies.
  • Expertise in process improvement methodologies such as root cause analysis to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Mechanical knowledge related to electronics refurbishment equipment alongside materials handling skills including forklift operation certification.
  • Data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets for supply chain analytics insights.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce logistics workflows and order fulfillment processes within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of contracts management related to procurement agreements with vendors and 3PL providers.
  • Excellent organizational skills coupled with the ability to lead cross-functional teams focused on continuous process enhancement. Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
