You will be responsible for the full character art pipeline, from concept sculpting to final texturing and integration into the game engine. Key Responsibilities Create high-quality 3D character models, including sculpting, retopology, UV mapping, and texturing. Develop detailed and believable character designs that align with project art direction and narrative. Optimize character assets for performance in real-time rendering environments. Collaborate with concept artists, animators, and technical artists to ensure seamless integration. Ensure consistency in art style and quality across all character assets. Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in 3D character art and modeling within the Arts & Entertainment sector. Mentor junior character artists and provide constructive feedback. Participate in art reviews and contribute to the overall artistic vision of the project. Requirements Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a 3D Character Artist in the game development or related interactive media industry. A strong portfolio showcasing excellent 3D character models, with demonstrated skills in sculpting, texturing, and rendering. Proficiency in industry-standard 3D software (e.g., Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop). Experience with game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) and understanding of character pipelines. Excellent understanding of human and creature anatomy, form, and proportion. Strong artistic eye for detail, color, and lighting. Good communication and teamwork skills, essential for collaborating in Cincinnati, Ohio . Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Computer Graphics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
