Lead Air Traffic Controller - Advanced Systems

Our client, a major entity in the aviation infrastructure sector, is looking for an experienced Lead Air Traffic Controller to oversee operations and training within their state-of-the-art facility in **Noida, Uttar Pradesh, IN**. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of air traffic management principles, advanced radar systems, and stringent safety protocols. The Lead Controller will be responsible for guiding a team of controllers, ensuring the safe and efficient flow of air traffic, and contributing to the continuous improvement of air traffic control procedures. Key Responsibilities:
Directly manage and supervise a team of Air Traffic Controllers, ensuring adherence to operational procedures and safety standards. Provide real-time air traffic control services for commercial, military, and general aviation aircraft. Monitor airspace, weather conditions, and aircraft movements using advanced radar and communication systems. Coordinate with pilots, airline operations, and other air traffic control facilities to manage flight paths and prevent conflicts. Develop and implement training programs for new and existing controllers, focusing on advanced techniques and emergency procedures. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to controllers. Maintain and update operational manuals and procedures to reflect current best practices and regulatory changes. Respond effectively to emergencies and unexpected situations, implementing contingency plans to ensure safety. Liaise with regulatory authorities and aviation stakeholders to ensure compliance and operational excellence. Contribute to the strategic planning of air traffic management systems and infrastructure upgrades. Champion a culture of safety, vigilance, and continuous improvement within the control center.
Qualifications:
Valid Air Traffic Controller License (ATCL) with relevant ratings and endorsements. Minimum of 12 years of experience in air traffic control, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead role. Extensive knowledge of air traffic management principles, procedures, and regulations. Proficiency with modern air traffic control systems, including radar, communication, and flight data processing technologies. Proven ability to make sound, rapid decisions in high-pressure, complex environments. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong understanding of aviation meteorology and its impact on air traffic. Experience in training and mentoring controllers is essential. Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Certification in advanced air traffic management techniques is a plus.
